1. Booking Process and Pricing
To book a property on FlatAway, you must follow the steps provided on our platform. Once you have selected your desired property and dates, you will be prompted to provide the necessary information and make a payment to secure your reservation. All amounts displayed on our platform are inclusive of tourist taxes and VAT, where applicable.
When booking a property, you agree to pay all applicable fees, including any required deposits, taxes, and service charges. Payments must be made through our platform using an accepted payment method, such as a credit or debit card or bank transfer. We use Stripe as our payment provider, which processes your payment information securely.
3. Booking Confirmation
After completing your booking and making a successful payment, you will receive a booking confirmation via email. This confirmation will include essential information about your reservation, such as the property address, check-in and check-out dates, and contact information for the property owner or manager.
4. Check-In and Check-Out
Unless otherwise stated in the property listing or otherwise agreed upon with the FlatAway team, guests can check-in at a property starting at 3pm and must check-out before noon. Early check-in and late check-out may be possible but cannot be confirmed until 12 hours prior to the check-in or check-out time. If a guest checks out three (3) or more hours after the check-out time, or checks-in three (3) or more hours before the check-in time, they will be charged for one (1) additional night at the same daily rate as the entire reservation.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
If no specific cancellation policy is included in the property listing, cancellation refunds are as follows: if the booking is canceled 14 days or more before check-in: 100% refund; between 7 and 14 days: 50% refund; less than 7 days: no refund. If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so through our platform or by contacting our customer support team.
6. Children and Infant Amenities
Children under the age of 3 can stay free of charge at our properties when sharing a bed with at least one paying adult. Portable beds are not offered at any of our properties; however, guests may request a baby crib for an additional fee. Guests are responsible for bringing linen and towels for the baby crib. Baby chairs and other baby amenities are not available unless explicitly specified in the property listing.
A limited number of our properties are pet-friendly. This will be indicated in the description of each property. If you are traveling with a pet, please make sure to inform us at the time of your reservation.
8. Non-Smoking Policy
All our properties are non-smoking. In case guests do smoke inside the properties, a fine of €300 will be charged.
9. House Rules
Each property listed on FlatAway may have specific house rules set by the property owner or manager. By booking a property, you agree to comply with these house rules during your stay. Failure to adhere to the house rules may result in additional charges or the termination of your reservation without a refund.
